My Google AdSense Income as of January 25, 2017 |
- CPC
- CPM
- CPMAV
- CPE
What is CPC? It means Cost-per-Click. It is the amount you earn each time a user clicks on your ad. The CPC for any ad is determined by the advertiser. Some advertisers may be willing to pay more per click than others, depending on what they are advertising.
What is CPM? It means Cost per 1000 Impressions. Advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served and pay each time their ad appears. As a publisher/owner of website or a blog site you will earn revenue each time a CPM ad is served to your web page or blog site page and viewed by a user. Take note: CPM ads compete against Cost-per-Click (CPC) ads according to Google AdSense Department.
What is CPMAV? It means Cost per Mille Active View. This is another bid types, highlighting that advertisers now have a new way to bid on your ad inventory. This is currently referred to as Active View CPM in Google Internal Help. CPMAV are the bids that are being made on a viewable impression basis only. The CPMAV closing price has been much higher than CPM bids. Even with the lower CTR (ClickThroughRate) that has brought up Ad request RPM (Revenue per Thousand Impression). Active View metric might be number to keep an eye on if you hope to attract higher paying CPM rates.
What is CPE? It means Cost-per-Engagement. With this type of bidding, advertisers only pay when users actively engage with ads. For example: Advertisers pay for lightbox ads (a type of expandable ad that can expand to a very large size) on a CPE basis, which means that publishers/websites owners or blog sites owners generate earnings from lightbox ads when net users choose to engage with the ads by hovering over them for at least two seconds to expand the ads.
Remember this: Online writers or Online bloggers who are running their own websites or blog sites are considered publishers. You should enjoy this kind of online opportunity where you can actually earn money from publishing your written articles and other stuff to your owned websites or blog sites through Google AdSense. In addition, do not apply fraud just to make more money on Google AdSense. You will be punished or be banned from using Google AdSense. Always apply honesty to any business you are about to venture.
