President Duterte has the right to punish those who do wrong

God in heaven has used the 16 million + Filipinos to select the rightful president to lead this country for good. People who oppose the authority of President Duterte (who is God's servant) are opposing what God has planned for him and they will be punished. Duterte's critics have accused him that he is a threat for them but the truth is he is a good leader who is a threat to evil people, not to good people. If someone out there does something wrong, he ought to be afraid because the president has the right to punish him. 

In Romans 13: 1-5 (NIV) New International Version, we can read the following verses:

1. Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.
4. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.

Mostly of us have witnessed the good intentions of our beloved President Duterte. At his old age - he is still too strong, dedicated and committed to do his duties and obligations for the better Philippines. We have witnessed the good results of his war against drugs, war against crimes, corruption and etc. And yes - no one can deny it that our president is always the man of action, the man of law that protects the right of every citizen who is good but punishing those who do wrong.

Good if the opposition senators would realize soon that to submit themselves to the present president of this country is not yet too late and it is the right thing to do instead from rebelling themselves against Duterte's administration including the Catholic Church's leaders and other groups of opposing people in the country.

Below is the views and comments of Atty. Romulo Macalintal - Robredo's lawyer, I quote:

"Thus, the PET stressed that, as to the veracity of the protestant's allegations, nothing yet has been proved. This means that Mr. Marcos is just being given the opportunity to prove his case. The case would still go through the usual tedious and lengthy process of revision and recount of the ballots. The ballot boxes and their contents would be retrieved from various provinces to be brought to the PET for the recount."

While Atty. Vic Rodriguez - Marcos' lawyer explains, I quote "We are now looking to the resolution of another pending ex parte motion that we have filed, 'yun po yung pagse-set na ng preliminary conference. Importante yun hanggang mai-set na yung prelim conference upang umusad na nang mas mabilis ang election protest na inihain niya'."

Of course, we all know that to wait for the final results of this electoral protest is a long way - pero lagi tayo nanjan para suportahan ang laban ng ating VP BongBong Marcos.

Senator Leila de Lima: I Will Not Retreat From This Fight

"I am willing to be shot in front of the president....I am confident to prove him wrong. I will stand by my innocence, any time now and forever. If the loss of my freedom is the price I have to pay for standing up against the butchery of the Duterte regime, then it is a price I am willing to pay," Senator Leila de Lima said in a statement. "But they are mistaken if they think my fights ends here. It has only begun."

Senator Leila de Lima of the Liberal Party condemned the Philippine Drug War and urged the Philippine Congress to investigate. She called for an end of vigilante killings of drug suspects.

In September 2016, de Lima was removed from her position chairing a Senate Justice and Human Rights committee investigating extrajudicial killings. De Lima, later, admitted her relationship with Dayan. In December 2016, de Lima received praise from international human rights advocates and journalists for her criticism of Duterte's Drug War despite political repression against her. 

On February 17, 2017, she was charged of drug-related by the administration of Rodrigo Duterte.

I Cannot Hold to Laugh at VP Robredo When She Said: We Need to Trust The Court as The Last Bastion of Democracy

Alam niyo ba na I almost believe her when she said that she would put trust in the fairness of the high tribunal...Happy na sana ako for her though meron pa palang kasunod sa sinabi niya na "in spite of concerns that they were partial to the family of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos following a controversial decision to allow the latter to be given a hero's burial." If VP Robredo really put her trust in the fairness of the high court (Supreme Court) she should not mention things that could attract some bias impressions.

She added saying "You know, despite the fears of many of our people that the Supreme Court would not be fair, I think we need to trust the court as the last bastion of democracy, it is the one that decides what is fair and what is not, what is right and what is wrong." Duterte Administration Should Probe The Veracity of #LeniLeaks to Know If It is True Or Lies

Malacañang Palace has all the rights to investigate the truthfulness of the said rumors. It does not matter whether it is true or lies. What is important is that - Duterte's government must stand impartially to clear the doubts.

I don't agree what Senator Franklin Drilon said that #LeniLeaks is just a crap and does not deserve attention. He even scoffed Malacañang's plan to probe the issue by saying that it should not give serious consideration on a series of leaked emails which appeared online. He added saying, "If this is something that is serious, it should not appear in social media in the first place."

Everybody knows who is Franklin Drilon on this planet - he is just one of the 24 Senators of Philippine Senate - who also belongs to the same political party where VP Leni Robredo is also a member of the Liberal Party of the Philippines. Among the 24 Senators - he is the first Senator who reacted on #LeniLeaks.

Thirty-three years after the 1986 EDSA Revolution, Filipinos can clearly see its legacy such as:

• Mediocre life of the Middle Class
• and Eternal suffering of the poor

Sa tuwing may nakikita akong mga bata na tahasang ginagamit ng mga politiko sa mga demonstrasyon at mga rally sa kalsada - mga batang may gatas pa sa kanilang mga labi, may mga dalang mga placards na may nakasulat ng pag kontra sa pamahalaan o pag kondina sa isang tao buhay man ito o patay - biglang tumataas ang blood pressure ko at nag-iinit ang ulo ko habang sinasambit ko ang mga salitang: Ito'y "Child Abuse" at dapat parusahan ang mga taong may hawak sa kanila at pilit bini brainwash ang kanilang mga musmos na kaisipan.

I wrote this article with my purpose to educate our youths and young children and to tell them that it is not yet too late for them to distinguish the good from bad. And I hope that one day they would come to realize that they are only being manipulated by these devil politicians and some oligarchs in order to secure their own interests in the society and country.

• Oligarch - an oligarch is an extremely rich person who is part of an elite which exercises an undemocratic, hidden form of power in order to secure its own interests.
• Monopoly - exists when a specific person or enterprise is only supplier of a particular commodity. In Economics - a monoploy is a single seller. In Law - a monopoly is a business entity that has significant market power, that is, the power to charge overly high prices.
• Elite - in Political and Sociological definition it is a theory for a small group of powerful people that controls and disproportionate amount of wealth, privilege or a political power in a society.
• Middle Class - it is a social and economic class lying above the working class and below the upper class. They are composed of professionals, semi-professionals and lower-to-middle managerial level workers.

There is a saying that "Media has a pivotal role to making and unmaking a president."

What does it mean by Media Hegemony? It is about the use of mass media to influence or control another country or a group of people by persuading them to accept their system of beliefs and to share their social, culture and moral values.

Who are the people behind the Media Hegemony in the Philippines? 33 years after the 1986 'People's Power' the hegemony of media in the country has become one of its legacy. So, Filipinos can clearly see that the people behind this media hegemony are the oligarchs and powerful politicians. And these in power ruling class achieved media hegemony through some strategies such as:

• Engineering Consent
• Story telling or Narrative
• and Stardom

What is Engineering Consent - it is about persuasion that the interest of the powerful are common sense, therefore normal or natural creating an atmosphere of less challenge and criticism that   according to Edward L. Bernays who wrote an essay which was published in 1947 called 'The Engineering Consent' claimed that everything socially is organized through psychological means.'

What is Story telling or Narrative - narratives are the dominant way we make sense of expertise and articulate our values, this is often the vehicle for delivering common sense as ideas, values, beliefs are transmitted through mainstream media.

What is Stardom - it is the fame and prestige of being a star on film, sports, etc. People of renown are used to help sell ideas and beliefs to the public through acting as fictional characters - masses can relate to or through advertising products. When people look up to a famous person they often imitate and relate to them as they see the celebrity behaving and dressing in certain ways, the masses will follow suit because they relate to the idol. This is also part of conditioning masses.

In the Philippines many of these famous actors and actresses are used by politicians on their election campaigns in exchange of money. In other words, governments, religious organizations, entertainers, politicians and oligarchs used these strategies to reach and control the masses. These strategies are what make media so influential and successful.

I mentioned earlier that media hegemony is about the use of mass media. To supplement the idea, let us define Mass Media - in simple definition, it is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass communication outlets. Sample of mass communication outlets are as follow:

• Broadcast media - it transmits information electronically via such media or film, radio, recorded music and television.
• Digital media - they are Internet and mobile mass communication. Under internet - email, social media sites, websites and internet-based radio and television.
• Outdoor media - AR advertising, billboards, blimps, flying billboards and placards.
• Print media - they are books, comics, magazines, newspapers or pamphlets.
• Event organizing and public speaking are also considered firms of mass media. Movie studios, publishing companies, radio and television stations are also known as mass media.

Media becomes influential and successful when a particular groups of people like politicians, religious organizations, entertainers, government, elites and oligarchs and other dreamers who have the power and capacity to rule and command make them move and work through spending of millions to billions of money.

This is what I wanted to point out that our youths and young children, mga bayarang demonstrador at mga bayarang raliyista sila ay isa lamang sa mga elementong ginagamit at pinagsasamantalahan ang kanilang kawalang malay at kawalan sa buhay nitong mga mapagsamantalang politicians, religious organizations, mga elitista at mga mayayamang negosyante na handang magbayad para sirain ang isang tao o gobyerno.

Hindi sila naglaan ng panahon na imbistigahan nila si De Lima mismo sa Senado - sa kasong pagka-link ng kaniyang pangalan sa drug industry dito sa Pilipinas, sa kasong isa siyang drug-protector ng mga drug-lords ng bansa. Para bang ok lang sa Senado na mapahiya ang kanila ka-Senador. Para bang ok lang sa kanila na sirain ang credibility ng Senado ng isang senador.
