Happy Xmas 2016 and a Prosperous New Year 2017: How to Write an Author Biography That Does Not Suck

You don't need to write your author biography by using some of the erudite English languages. Simple English is good. And don't think that you can fool your readers - they are intelligent enough to spot your lies. Always inject HIT when writing your author bio. HIT = honesty, integrity and trustworthy.

When you write your author bio consider the following:

• Write in the third person. 
• Remember that it's not really about you. 
• Establish credibility. 
• Explain what you do. 
• Be personal ... if it’s appropriate.
• Focus on value. 
• Don't be afraid to brag. 
• Avoid writing something obnoxiously long. 
• Customize it. 

In December 1986, Paul has dreamed to raise his own family. He said that marrying his wife was the best decision he ever made on his life. The love he felt for the woman he loved so greatly was his strength. They were blessed with three loving children, all girls now ages 26, 24 and 22. He said that he married his wife with a ten peso bill on his wallet. It happened in 1986, the Philippines was managed by a puppet president Corazon C. Aquino after the remarkable people's power revolt.

In 1994, Paul had dreamed again to go abroad. He was lucky though because he did not experience much difficulty in acquiring an overseas job. His uncle-in-law who at that time was the chief accountant of the company Kawasaki Helicopter Saudi Arabia – Finance Department helped him get his current job by recommending him to the administrator of the company. A Philippine based recruitment agency, FB Allan processed his papers and he was able to go out of the country as a documented Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

Aside from working, Paul also devote some time for his other interests. While employed, he took up a creative writing course by mail with the Writer’s Bureau in Manchester London during the years 1998-1999. In 2000-2001, Paul took up Journalism and short story writing course with the International Correspondence Schools (ICS), PA, USA by mail.
